About: Juliette Rautenberg

Prior to moving to Germany with my German husband, I worked in Boston, Massachusetts, USA for several Harvard Medical School professors. One of the main requirements of my position was preparing articles for submission to academic journals such as Science, Nature, Cell, JAMA, and others. During this time I became familiar with many of the copy editing and style needs in the biomedical field as well as the author requirements from top journals.

After arriving in Germany I began working as a freelance copy editor primarily for academic projects, but also for marketing and advertising needs in the commercial sector. I work regularly on projects from the Department of General Medicine at Philipps University Marburg, Germany.

In the fall of 2009 I began a partnership with the Graduate Center for Life and Natural Sciences (Graduiertenzentrum Lebens- und Naturwissenschaften) at Philipps University Marburg to help teach and coach the Schreibwerkstatt (Writer's Workshop) Series for PhD candidates in the fields of life and natural sciences.

I am also an English writing instructor at the Modern Language Center (Sprachenzentrum) at the Philipps University Marburg.
